The Product Development team is seeking a Senior Product Manager to create and prioritize business cases for which deliver digital products to deliver to shorten the new construction permitting process. The Senior Product Manager will work closely with SPEED program owners and cross functional teams to manage software product development from conception to launch to deliver scalable, user-friendly and data-driven tools.
Responsibilities will include:
Strategy and Product Roadmap
- Create clear business cases that outline clear priorities, direction and timing for SPEED;
- Tenured at understanding and diagnosing root challenges and tenable, elegant solutions for the biggest product opportunities;
- Manage the software product's lifecycle from conception to launch acting as the bridge between program strategy, user experience, and technology focused on fulfilling New Yorker needs.
Deliver outcomes to New Yorkers
- Synthesize research, analytics, and systems analysis to understand user problems and define options to solve real user problems;
- Define what to build to maximize value and program impact for New Yorkers and navigate requests that don’t deliver strategic outcomes;
- Define and monitor outcomes and KPIs to prioritize evidence-driven improvements for SPEED.
Cross-functional leadership and collaboration
- Collaborate with program owners to define outcomes and KPIs for SPEED;
- Translate and prioritize user needs into requirements and guide program, UX and engineering teams to deliver software that deliver outcomes;
- Engage non-technical stakeholders on complex topics in plain language informed by strong technical fluency;
- Clearly and simply articulate insights and recommendations that materially solve problems for New Yorkers;
- Write user stories, acceptance criteria and system requirements working closely with UX and engineering teams to define technical feasibility and architecture.
Handle special projects and initiatives as assigned.
HOURS/SHIFT
Day - Due to the necessary duties of this position in a 24/7 operation, candidate may be required to work various shifts such as weekends and/or nights/evenings.

Qualifications
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics or related field and six years of satisfactory full-time experience related to enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, network architecture and/or IT infrastructure systems; or
2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and ten years of satisfactory full-time experience related to enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, network architecture and/or IT infrastructure systems; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above.
