Job Description

Under supervision, instruct and supervise the Housing Caretakers responsible for cleaning and maintaining the grounds, public spaces and stair halls of public housing projects in proper condition; perform related work.

Specific duties shall include, but not be limited to the following:

1. Make assignments, train, and check performance of Housing Caretakers.
2. Report move-ins and move-outs.
3. Handle tenant lockouts.
4. Fill out work orders as a result of apartment inspections.
5. Report any hazardous conditions observed in any part of the project.

NOTE: Due to the existence of a civil service list, candidates must have permanent civil service status in the title of Supervisor of Housing Caretakers to be considered.
