Mission is located in the lower mainland of BC and is situated in the traditional territory of the Stó꞉lō Peoples including Sq’ewlets, Leq’a:mel, Sema:th, Mathexwi, Kwantlen, and Katzie territories. Mission is a rapidly growing and dynamic community of approximately 41,500 residents, located 15 minutes north of the US border and 70 kilometers east of Vancouver. Although Mission is part of a broader metropolitan area, it still maintains its distinct and welcoming small-town character.
Job Description
Pickleball Instructors will be responsible for planning and leading weekly pre-registered learn to play pickleball programs for youth and adults as well as supervising and facilitating learn to play drop-in sessions. Have the ability to adapt to varying on court skill levels, have an engaging and enthusiastic personality with a professional manner.
Candidate will be comfortable teaching the beginner to intermediate player and will focus on the proper technique of hitting, court positioning, strategy on the rules and etiquette of the game as a recreational sport.
Qualifications
- Previous youth or adult coaching experience.
- Strong understanding of techniques and strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and patience.
- Coaching Certification (preferred)
- First aid (preferred)
Additional Information
The rate of pay for this position is $25 per hour plus 4% vacation pay.
