Mission is located in the lower mainland of BC and is situated in the traditional territory of the Stó꞉lō Peoples including Sq’ewlets, Leq’a:mel, Sema:th, Mathexwi, Kwantlen, and Katzie territories. Mission is a rapidly growing and dynamic community of approximately 41,500 residents, located 15 minutes north of the US border and 70 kilometers east of Vancouver. Although Mission is part of a broader metropolitan area, it still maintains its distinct and welcoming small-town character.

Employees in this position supervise customers in the weight room and fitness areas, design basic fitness programs, are responsible for conducting weight room and cardio orientations, provide assistance with equipment as needed, ensure weight room guidelines are followed, maintain cleanliness and order in the fitness areas.

The successful candidate must have a BCRPA/CFES Weight Training Certificate, current Standard First Aid & CPR. Personal Training Certification would be an asset.

Early morning, evening and weekend shifts are available between the hours of 5:15am to 9:00pm. Applicants should have the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $21.00 plus 4% vacation pay.
