The City of Americus is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Equipment Operator, Senior . The salary for this position is $28,225 annually ($13.57/ hr.)

Responsibilities of this position are to operate a wide range of automotive vehicles (including a truck crane), power and hand tools (including but not limited to chippers, mowers, trucks, chain saws, drills, street saws and other related equipment) to make utility cuts and during the excavation of ditches, dredging ponds, sewer or water trenches and streets, attends staff meetings and training sessions, prepares required reports, performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, two (2) years of experience in semi-skilled manual labor and in the use and operation of vehicles and equipment. Required qualifications may be any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Driver’s License.  Proof of requirements must be provided at time of applying.
