Joining us as a Principal Platform Developer
Lead DevOps Engineer (known internally as a Principal Platform Developer) is a new role within the team, giving you the chance to really have an input into the technology we adopt and on our processes moving forward. You’ll be providing technical leadership, driving the design and development of complex DevOps systems, and generally guiding the overall architectural direction.
You’ll receive a salary of up to £80,000 depending on experience, a performance related bonus, and a range of benefits to support you across your financial, physical and mental wellbeing.
Day to day, this is some of what you can expect to be doing:
- Owning the decision making on processes and tools we use to enhance our current offering, or any new ones we are looking to implement
- Completing proof of concept for new tools
- Looking at automating pipelines
- Managing a diverse range of technologies and providing technical expertise within the Platform Release Train
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including system designs, architecture diagrams and platform development standards
What you’ll bring to the role
You’ll have strong experience in making technology decisions, managing public cloud platforms, as well as great knowledge of administering and diagnosing Kafka brokers. You’ll also bring experience in:
- Microservices, working with containers / container orchestration and event driven architecture
- Salesforce, NetSuite, ServiceNow and PHP+ Laravel and/or Python
- Kubernetes and Terraform
- Event driven architecture
