Job Description

We would also be happy to hear from people wanting a part-time role of 3-4 days per week. The role will mainly be working remotely but with a requirement to be in our central London office or Milton Keynes 1-2 days a week.

How can you change it up?

This is a vital role at CityFibre which sees you taking responsibility for all things tax related across the Group. This will include activities like overseeing our tax position, ensuring we’re up to date with filings and statutory deadlines, and tax strategy and planning. Day to day, you can expect to be doing:

  • Providing quality support and advice on all areas of UK tax
  • Acting as the SME on all tax related issues – liaising with stakeholders and ensuring projects are all completed in the most tax efficient way
  • Improving the efficiency of the tax processes, ideally in an automated way
  • Supporting on completing tax health checks and implementing actions off the back of these

What you’ll bring to the role

You’re going to be the go-to person for anything tax related, so it’s important that you’ve had exposure to a wide range of tax matters in a large corporate environment, as well as the desire to build your career in a growing and agile environment. You’ll also bring the following:

  • Strong organisation skills, with high level of attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex tax matters
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • CTA, ACA or equivalent
