Company Description

We’re changing up Britain

Start Date: 20th February 2023

We’re on a mission to build the UK’s finest digital infrastructure and unleash Britain’s potential. There’s never been a more exciting time to join the CityFibre family. We’re accelerating towards a full fibre future and delivering Gigabit Cities right across the UK. We’re changing up Britain’s digital infrastructure, boosting the economy, connecting communities and leaving a legacy for future generations.

A rewarding career

We’re passionate about our work and we’re passionate about our people too - when you join the CityFibre family you’ll receive a starting salary of £22,500 and enjoy benefits like 25 days’ holiday, a day off on your birthday, a day off to support a charity or organisation of your choice, performance-related bonus scheme, and private healthcare.

How can you change it up?

We’re looking for people to join our brand new Planner Academy. Starting in February, you’ll complete a 6-month immersive training programme of classroom and in-the-field learning, where, as part of a cohort of trainees, you’ll learn how to design and deliver our best-in-class networks. The programme will empower you with deep network planning knowledge, giving you the skills and experience to quickly progress to an Associate City Planner, where you’ll take ownership of the project management and collaborate with our Designers to deliver the best digital infrastructure possible.

What will you bring to the role?

We’re open to applications from people at any stage in their career, whether you’re just starting out or looking to make a career change. While you won’t need any specific planning experience, you will need:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • A good head for numbers
  • Great attention-to-detail
  • The ability to learn and use new technology
  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above (including Maths and English)
  • A full UK driving licence
  • The ability to spend some time away from home (Milton Keynes & on location)

Our unique culture

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer; we celebrate diversity, we believe everyone has a voice and we’re committed to creating an inclusive environment for all. Even though we come from different backgrounds and do different jobs, we’re united by The CityFibre Way - our unique code of behaviours that inspires how we think, act and work. We back each other, think smart and act fast, and we’re passionate about giving it our best to build a legacy together.
