We’re changing it up

We’re on a mission to build the UK’s finest digital infrastructure and unleash Britain’s potential. Together, we’re achieving incredible things. We may have big ambitions, but we never lose sight of what matters. That’s why we’ve created an open, inclusive environment where people can be themselves, where wellbeing and mental health come first, where we take a flexible approach to working, and where everyone has the chance to pursue their passions, keep learning and grow their careers. We’re changing up Britain and we’re changing up the workplace with better rewards, more opportunities to grow and the chance to make a difference to communities across the UK.

A rewarding career

We’re passionate about our work and we’re passionate about our people too. With a salary of up to £51,000 depending on experience and a car allowance, when you join the CityFibre family you’ll also enjoy benefits like 25 days’ holiday, a day off on your birthday, a day off to support a charity or organisation of your choice, performance-related bonus scheme, and private healthcare.

How can you change it up?

Our Region Build Support & Onboarding Lead will be joining our Mobilisation and Training team as CityFibre continues to evolve. This role will span your whole region, working to effectively and consistently mobilise each contractor. You’ll work with multiple build partners daily, along with other internal and external stakeholders to ensure our contractors are working to a clear, standardised set of processes. Your work will give our contractors enough time to execute plans, plus build and train their teams. All to guarantee that CityFibre delivers on its commitment to providing the UK with the finest digital infrastructure possible.

What will you bring to the role?

You’ll be responsible for the regional delivery of each city delivery team and build partner. They must be fully onboarded, trained and taught of CityFibre’s processes and systems before they start. This will be ongoing throughout the build for new entrants to the team also. Throughout the build also you’ll stay on top of new processes, refresher training sessions and offer support to the team and build partner as the project moves. All of this requires an exceedingly organised individual. Someone who can structure efficient training programmes, take charge of onboarding, ensure any risks that may impact mobilisation are escalated quickly and provide a weekly regional report to your line management.

Essentials:

  • Extensive experience working in telecoms and civil infrastructure construction, (preferable fibre installation).
  • Working knowledge of processes, systems and industry standards relevant to installation of fibre (e.g. SROH, NRSWA, BTOR PIA)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the construction process, (from planning, noticing, permitting, design and on-site works).
  • The ability to collaborate, motivate and educate.

Our unique culture

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer; we celebrate diversity, we believe everyone has a voice and we’re committed to creating an inclusive environment for all. Even though we come from different backgrounds and do different jobs, we’re united by The CityFibre Way - our unique code of behaviours that inspires how we think, act and work. We back each other, think smart and act fast, and we’re passionate about giving it our best to build a legacy together.
