How can you change it up?
As the Network Operations Centre (NOC) Team Leader, you will be lead and manage the NOC Operations team, taking responsibility for 24/7 monitoring and troubleshooting core network and customer services delivered by the national network. Some of your main duties will include:
- Managing the ticket workload by allocating tickets to team members in an efficient and timely manner
- Ensuring that impacted network service is restored within SLA, jeopardy managing workload based on priority, using technical and hierarchical escalation as appropriate
- Coaching and mentoring team members to ensure that the team operates accurately and efficiently
- Conducting regular staff progress reviews and appraisals
- Managing the team skills matrix and individual development plans, arranging training as required to meet technology requirements
What will you bring to the role?
We are looking for a dedicated and motivated candidate who can work flexible hours to manage a 24/7 operation. You will need experience working in Network Support, preferably in a service provider environment. In addition to this, you must have experience working with IP and associated routing protocols. As this is a fast-moving and complex organisation, you will need to be able to remain calm and focused when under pressure. We are looking for a professional individual with an analytical mindset to complete tasks and solve problems effectively.
Any experience in the following will be a bonus:
- Firewalls
- OSPF/BGP protocols
- Basic command-line scripting
- Managing small projects
