How can you change it up?

Working as part of our active engineering department, you’ll be responsible for the successful delivery of the security strategy and service portfolio. You will maximise network performance by creating and implementing frameworks for monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, and collaborating with network architects on network optimisation.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the implementation and operation of the Active Network Security tooling strategy
  • Continual improvement of the wider City Fibre environment by contributing security design to systems, configurations, installation
  • Contributing towards defining & implementing required frameworks for the management of network environment
  • Supporting the Network Operations group undertaking forensic/ CERT investigations in a final line of Tier3/4 as / when required

What will you bring to the role?

You must have a strong understanding of security and security ops principles in a multi-vendor, zero trust environment. Alongside this, you will need to be knowledgeable of stateful firewalls, IDS / IDP, and other related security technologies.

You’ll also be a natural problem solver with well-developed troubleshooting skills and methodologies, have experience of alternate operating and process methodologies and a good understanding of layer 2 technologies and layer 3 routing protocols.
