What is a Trainee Quality Assurance Engineer?

You’ll be part of a City Build team, delivering fibre networks to communities. You’ll play a key role in monitoring and managing our Full Fibre networks, providing vital support, overseeing the work done by our Build Partners and liaising with key stakeholders. Making sure everyone stays up-to-date, and our projects are delivered to our quality standards, efficiently and on time. This means you’ll have to apply attention to detail to every stage of our build process as you will be responsible for assuring the quality of our build is to the highest standards. It’s an essential job, which is why we’ll give you all the training and support you need to succeed and start changing up Britain’s infrastructure.

What you’ll bring

You’ll have graduated or finished college in the last 2 years with a degree in your subject of choice. A STEM degree would be beneficial but it’s not essential. Although you don’t need any engineering experience, you will need the enthusiasm to learn, great communication skills, a good eye for detail and the drive to make a difference to the way Britain connects. When you join us as a Trainee, we’ll manage, mentor and develop your career, ensuring you build technical knowledge, gain field experience and get to work closely with people you can learn from – Planners, Project Managers and Build Managers. It’s an early careers programme designed to take you from enthusiasm to experience, with all the help you need.
