How can you change it up?

As a Lead Fibre Network Planner, you will be responsible for providing the Build Manager with the network designs that will enable them to install city-wide infrastructure. You’ll lead a team of planners, taking complete ownership of the delivery of the active service portfolio, including system and network administration and project management. In addition, you’ll;

  • Champion your team’s wellbeing by offering support and encouraging them to prioritise their own needs

  • Build frameworks to identify network expansion and changes through analytics, automation and direct required adds, all while documenting and enforcing system standards 

  • Develop solutions to maximise network performance by collaborating with Network Architects and Engineers on optimisation 

  • Collaborate with Engineers to manage the active network’s underlying resources

  • Coach, develop and mentor new starters on the team 

  • Drive consistency, quality, suitability and cost effectiveness  

What will you bring to the role?

As a team leader you will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role, operating as an expert on all aspects of civil route and fibre planning. You’ll build positive relationships with people from across the business, as well as external stakeholders, and be an inspiring leader to your team. You’ll also have; 

  • Experience with manipulating data and metadata underpinning civil route and fibre design 

  • A detailed understanding of Diversionary works code of practice and its application 

  • Thorough knowledge of GIS systems, and local and national authority regulations 

  • An understanding of lit fibre services

  • The ability to understand and produce detailed survey installation and as-built documentation
