How can you change it up?

Our SHEQ Advisors are vital in ensuring the safety, health environment, and quality of our network delivery operations. As a key player within the compliance team, you’ll work alongside the business embedding standards and maintaining reasonable assurance of our contractors and will provide subject matter expertise and regulatory advice to our front-line supervisors and project managers.

You’ll support the compliance team providing professional health and safety advice, guidance, training and support to the project, design and technical teams across Network Operations and in particular our Network Delivery capEX programmes.

You’ll also be facilitating compliance with the management system and working closely with the company ISO and Policy Assurance Manager to comply with relevant legal, industry and organisational standards. By undertaking inspections of our construction sites and conducting accident investigations, you’ll also help CityFibre fulfil its client and PC CDM duties.

There will be travel required across the various locations you’ll be responsible for.

What will you bring to the role?

You’ll be a driven SHEQ professional, ideally with experience working in telecommunications or a utility associated construction industry, who can confidently act as a subject matter expert across the CityFibre teams. It’s essential that you possess some key qualifications which will include a General NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent), NRSWA Supervisor, Basic First Aid and a full driving license.

You’ll also have experience in:

  • Risk assessment management and method statement review
  • Completing site inspections and investigations
  • Compliance and maintenance of relevant standards
  • CDM regulations and their application during the different stages of construction
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent report writing and documentation management
