Job Purpose

The Citrus Market Access Consultant is responsible for the development and management of a wide range of strategic market access and pricing deliverables, from proposal stages through to final project delivery. Serve as the main client point of contact throughout project lifecycles. Proactively anticipate client needs and additional business opportunities. The Market Access Consultant must develop and leverage a strong understanding of varied therapeutic areas, clinical landscapes and markets to best meet client needs. Core responsibilities include:

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to develop consistently high-quality client deliverables. Leverage deep understanding of clinical landscapes and markets to consult with clients on how best to approach strategic product positioning. Foster and maintain strong client and team relationships and facilitate meetings and presentations.

Material Development: Manage the development and delivery of project deliverables

  • Support in the development of project scopes, plans, and budgets
  • Develop strategic market access processes and disseminate this information throughout project teams
  • Develop and deliver high quality, timely client presentations and project deliverables
  • Manage work within established project timelines to ensure profitable completion of projects
  • Support in the financial governance of projects
  • Develop and pull project reports as needed

Internal and External Relationship Management: Manage successful relationships with all project stakeholders

  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Effectively develop and manage strong client relationships and support the control of scope and expectations within projects
  • Develop a consultative approach to client work and support in the strategic identification of business and project opportunities
  • Build, support, and manage project teams as required

Strategic Product Positioning: Consult clients on strategic product pricing, reimbursement and positioning decisions within varied markets

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of various therapeutic areas for application in the strategic placement of products
  • Support and consult with clients in the development of product pricing and reimbursement strategies, value messaging, and communication strategies
  • Leverage and share market expertise to enable a wider understanding among clients and team members

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required.

Education

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred; PharmD or PhD, or MD a plus

Experience

  • 4-6 years of experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or biotech space
  • 4-6 years of experience in pricing or market access 

Special Knowledge/ Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Deep understanding of global healthcare payer systems, therapeutic areas and clinical landscapes
  • Ability to lead and facilitate effective meetings
  • Proficient project management skills
  • Effective attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome challenges
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability
  • Ability to think analytically and to effectively plan, prioritize, and execute
  • Expert verbal, written and presentation skills
