Job Description

Perform Tier 2, and 3 level user support and systems administration in a small team environment providing full IT support in a geographically dispersed user community with about 2000 users.

Interact with customers to define, log, and resolve issues and service requests in a MS Windows environment with some iOS. Specifically, administer, maintain and optimize NetBackup and Compellent SAN systems as a team member in a 6 person team of engineers having expertise in VMWare, Hyper-V, McAfee, SAN/BUR, SCCM, Exchange 2016, Office 365, Skype for Business, ServiceNow, Xceedium, Cisco routers/switches, Active Directory, and Windows Server OS.

Administer, maintain, and customizations (reports, etc.) as necessary to systems management tools, which will include but not limited to: ServiceNow; Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Cisco Prime Infrastructure, and Solar Winds.

Operate, maintain, and administer hardware and software on servers, workstations, encryption devices, and security devices.

Identify, respond to, troubleshoot and resolve system problems.

Maintain and respond to server and system events log (error/warning), and system notifications of issues/problems.

Provide daily and weekly reports of activities i.e. server availability, status of open issues, issue resolution rates, workload distribution, etc.

Troubleshoot network and system problems by responding to trouble calls, performing fault isolation, and restoring service.

Qualifications

The candidate must have 10 years of IT experience, within which:

Minimum 3 years of experience in mobile device management solution including AirWatch, Good Mobile, MS Intune or equivalent.

Minimum 7 years of experience working on Exchange including design and maintenance, Exchange Cluster and Exchange Virtual Servers; and office communications server, i.e. Skype for Business, troubleshooting both server and client side services.

Minimum 7 years of experience keeping IT equipment and IT services running, including troubleshooting and fixing IT enterprise issues such as operating system, active directory, and hardware issues such as workstations, servers, and appliances;

Minimum 7 years of experience installing, deploying, and managing Microsoft enterprise services software such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and file and print servers.

Must have experience supporting the Apple suite of products, such as: IPhone, IPAD, etc.

Education:  Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in a computer systems related field.

Certification:  Must have either – MCSA OR MCSE.

Candidate must have an understanding of troubleshooting issues and systems including: hardware (desktop computers, laptops), software (Microsoft OS, Blackberry, Exchange, Office, virus protection, PKI/CAC) in an Enterprise environment (AD, DHCP, DNS, file storage, print servers, LAN/WAN network troubleshooting (VPN, Cisco).

Clearance Requirement:

Applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain suitability for national security agencies.
