Job Description

This role will be responsible for schedule development and reporting of one or more of the RRP project schedules. This schedule will be used to manage resources as well as for program reporting. The Scheduler will develop and maintain summary level schedule reports (e.g., Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, and other program management tools) used to support critical path analysis and resource leveling. The scheduler will support the planning, tracking, analysis, schedule risk assessments, and reporting on projects. The scheduler will work directly with client points of contact and other stakeholders to update the schedule, maintain consistency, and provide reports for decision making. The scheduler will work with other team schedulers to provide input to the critical path for the Program, identify dependencies, and maintain alignment of schedulers. The scheduler will confirm established processes and procedures are adhered to and will refine or develop additional processes as needed.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Work schedule: 3 days/week in New Carrollton, Maryland facility with two days/week working remotely from Rosslyn office and/or home location (Determined by CLIN lead). Must be able to work this schedule.
  • Advanced experience in scheduling, critical path analysis, and using Microsoft Project for managing tasks, collaboration, managing timelines, measuring progress, and generating reports.
  • Knowledge of program, project and risk management practices and methodologies.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient experience with scheduling on IT projects.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC).
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Project and strong background with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Proficient experience developing and maintaining an integrated master schedule.
  • Ability to analyze tasks/work packages in the IMS for correctness to include durations, resources needed/available, linkages and dependencies.
  • Ability to perform schedule risk assessments.
  • Ability to manage multiple task assignments with quick deadlines.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to collaborate with personnel at different levels of the organization.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings with client points of contact and stakeholders to solicit updates to schedule and resolve discrepancies and issues.
  • Detailed oriented and able to work independently with minimum guidance or supervision.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with large, complex Federal programs and agencies.
  • Prior experience supporting IRS.
  • Familiarity with Agile.
