Job Description
Full Time with benefits
Monday thru Friday; 8 hours
Pay: $17-$19/hr
Position Summary:
Responsible for the admit process and determining if a patient is qualified to be enrolled and/or on-boarded. Oversight and participation in all aspects of patients billing functions.
Essential Functions: (*Note – Not all listed duties will be required to accomplish during employment, depending on your work function within the billing process)
· Run batch billing and review all payable and rejected claims
· Review of payable claims, for accuracy
· Obtain PA dates, complete BAP assessment, and admit the patient
· Review rejected claims and follow rejection process to ensure claims have been run correctly
· Participation in collection activities and accounts receivables procedures
Competency:
· Knowledge of standard medical terminology
· Knowledge of how to read pharmacy claims
· Ability to handle challenging patients/vendors in a professional manner
· Ability to learn quickly, solve problems, and make decisions to assist our patients
· Demonstrate excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
· Demonstrate proficiency in the use of MS Office software; which includes Excel, Word and Outlook

Education/Experience Requirements:
· High School diploma or equivalency diploma, from a Department of Education accredited school
· Some jurisdictions may require 3 years of experience in benefit investigation, Medicaid, Medicare (understanding the difference of part C and part D drugs)
· 1 year of pharmacy billing experience required
· Knowledge of Specialty Drugs, including what they are used for, is strongly preferred
· Working knowledge of DUR codes, submission clarification codes and unit of measure codes strongly preferred
· Knowledge of CPR+ preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
