Job Description

Position Summary:

Perform key leadership role serving as a key operations leader as well as providing an excellent customer experience. Perform functions to establish standards and direct the operation of Patient Care, Verification, Disease State Hubs, Operations Support, and Learning & Development teams to provide superior customer service, maintain patient loyalty, and meet regulatory requirements, guided by precedent and working within the limits of established policies.

Essential Functions:

  • Specialty Pharmacy Director will communicate and implement the processes and procedures for the Patient Care Coordinators, Insurance Verification, Disease State Hubs, Operations Support and Learning & Development. Establish metrics for performance, and monitor results. Review, design and implement modifications to processes or procedures as needed to achieve desired results.
  • Patient Care Director will coordinate with upstream and downstream departments to ensure the Pharmacy Operations is running smoothly and efficiently and at a high level of quality.
  • Partner closely with Sales to support growing the business and is a key stakeholder at the weekly Sales/Ops meeting.
  • Responsible for key operating measures necessary to maintain Accreditation and Service Guarantees required by Payor and Manufacturer Specialty Pharmacy Contracts/Agreements.
  • Interview, select, hire, train and assign associates. Develop and communicate performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of associates, both as a department and individually. Evaluate performance and provide direction, mentoring, coaching and cross training to associates. Identify and provide associates training requirements. Facilitate associate development and collaborate with direct reports to create professional development goals.

Qualifications

 

  • Will be overseeing a team of two managers who have four supervisors with about 10 associates each.
  • Minimum Requirements for Patient Care Director:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Healthcare; or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Supervisor including managing managers
  • 3+ years’ experience in Call Center / Customer Care management
  • Specialty Pharmacy experience – understands the dynamic industry
  • Strong leadership abilities – collaborative, professional, positive leader, willing to learn, team player, highly organized, able to prioritize, effective communicator, flexible, ready for change and able to stay motivated during change, etc.
  • Preferences:
  • Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Florida
  • CPR+ experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Comp:
  • $80,000-$110,000 depending on experience
  • 10% bonus potential
  • Shift:
  • Open 8 am – 8 pm
  • Open to working Saturdays depending on the needs of the business
