Job Description

Essential Functions

• Work with Trade team and SVP, Customer Experience to identify opportunities,
contracts or RFPs that align with the company’s business strategy. Manage RFP
and contracting process with contracting committee from inception through
approval for submission.

• Communicate and engage with pharmaceutical manufacturers and distribution resources as key
business partners involving existing agreements. Investigate business
development opportunities and communicate regarding expectations and as to
operational and service performance.

• Collaborate with associates heading internal functions to ensure key processes
and communication in client services, sales, billing and finance are compliant
with terms of partner agreements, meeting requirements for performance and
deliverables.

• Oversight of program managers on measurement of performance to agreed-upon
standards and develops scorecards. Analyze, review and report on progress with
teammates and business partners.

• Direct Program Manager on collaboration with responsible associates across the
organization to address performance improvements required to comply with terms
of agreements. Recommend and collaborate on the implementation of process
modifications. Identify resource requirements and work with team to secure
them.

• Train new and existing associates in the use of pharmacy software system,
supplemental applications, customer service techniques, job responsibilities,
and departmental workflow. Identify deviations from training and/or processes
during normal work activity

• Serve as the SME for new applications, software upgrades, work queues, accuracy and
other related processes.

• Develop and implement plans for initiating and nurturing business relationships with
negotiators in targeted entities.

• Represent the interest of the company to Pharmaceutical Manufacturer Partners to direct
and manage implementation of new contracts/ programs in the operations
including development of Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instruction, Data
Collection and Reporting tools, training and development.

• Collaborate with Trade Relations, Sales, and Marketing teams to gain awareness
of sales and pharma strategies, share market intelligence, and ensure that
activities across all functional areas are compatible and synergistic in
increasing market share.

• Communicate and engage with pharmaceutical manufacturers and distribution
resources as key business partners involving existing agreements. Investigate
business development opportunities and communicate regarding expectations and
as to operational and service performance. Attend QBRs and provide presentations
and proposals to partners as ongoing client relations.

• Evaluate performance of program execution and communicates program outcomes
effectively with Business Development, Account Management, Finance, Revenue
Cycle Management, Department Managers and Operations team members.

• Works in conjunction with Business Development, Clinical Team Quality Improvement,
Training and Operations Managers and team members to support new program
implementations and ongoing program management.

• Monitors contract/ program financial performance and renewal and communicates
updates to Business Development, Operations Managers, IT, Sales and other team
members as appropriate.

• Interview, select, recommend hire, train, manage and assign
department team members engaged in managing and supporting key business partner
relationships and agreements.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements

• Clinical degree – preferably Doctorate in Pharmacology or Bachelor’s in Nursing
(RPh or RN)

• Minimum 7 years of specialty pharmacy or pharmaceutical experience with strong client
relationship building skills.

• Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience.

• Experience in contract sales in the healthcare environment is highly preferred.

• Ability to travel up to 30% to other sites.
