Job Description

Position Summary:

Perform functions to maintain the business unit’s financial reports, records and general ledger in compliance with GAAP and perform special accounting projects and analyses as requested, working within the limits of established policy.  

 

Essential Functions: 

• Prepare month-end journal entries and assist with the preparation of month-end variance analysis on the Profit & Loss Statement addressing Labor and G&A, or Revenue and Cost of Goods Sold accounts, as well as corresponding balance sheet accounts.

• Analyze and reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts and book appropriate adjusting entries. 

• Assist management at the business unit or corporate offices to conduct research, compile and report on data, and perform other special projects as requested.

• May review and code Accounts Payable invoices and forward for entry into the accounting system.

• Provide worksheets and other documents in response to requests during audit process.

• Establishes inventory management controls and continued maintenance of inventory control systems, policies, and procedures to accurately record, track and report on all cost of sales across the organization.

• Provide and document revenue recognition aggregation data / analysis related to pharmacy programs and contracts with supportable analytics primarily in support of inventory system methodologies, policies, and procedures to appropriately record all revenues across the organization.

• Assist in the development or enhancement of inventory count methodologies and control procedures, standardized gross margin analysis tools, reports, and processes. 

• Assists in the monthly analysis of rebate accruals and data related to pricing programs by conducting appropriate account analysis and subsequent journal entries on rebates and any 

• Provide operational and financial support to the CPR+ applications across all entities to include controlling an accurate Inventory Database capturing supplies, rentals, drugs, and non-inventory billable items.

• Track the accounting transactions for inter-company sales and cost activity across all entities.

 

Other Duties:

• Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.

• Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Expertise with MS Office software with particularly high level proficiency in Excel.

• Superior analytical, quantitative and organizational skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or a similar discipline preferred.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Accounting, with some experience in revenue and cost recognition.
