Job Description

Salary: $106k-$140k

MUSTS:

  • Have 3-5 years experience in managed care organization PBM or Healthcare
  • Be comfortable interacting and communicating with clients.
  • Be ok with travel: Travel will be 30-35%
  • Clinical presentation skills are necessary

Job Duties

  • Work collaboratively with sales and account management teams in support of Health Plan clients and prospects. The objective of the clinical relationships with clients and prospects is to improve the quality of care while controlling or decreasing overall health care costs.
  • Develop new clinical strategies, as well as provide oversight of clinical programs developed by third parties while implementing, and overseeing clinical programs and their outcomes, including adherence programs, retrospective DUR, Medication Therapy Management, disease specific care management, medication reconciliation and other programs as developed.
  • Meet with clients to discuss clinical trends, review relevant pharmacy data, and provide recommendations/supportive rationale for clinical management strategies.
  • Support growth of the pharmacy products as well as assist in developing a robust clinical management playbook and training platform for sales initiatives and client management.
  • Translate and decipher how current pharmacy/healthcare trends will affect our clinical strategies.
  • Provide drug information and act as the clinical consultant/expert on the account team.
  • Prepare monographs and present assigned topics for pharmacy and therapeutics committee while proactively make recommendations for clients to stay ahead of the cost curve regarding drug pipeline.
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to build consensus among all departments while supporting overall sales initiatives.
  • Analyze and evaluate pharmacy data and reporting as well as create/design ad-hoc reports while supporting RFI and RFP submissions.
  • Gathering information from various sources to make informed decisions as well as paying attention to detail while prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
  • Analyze, interpret, and develop written recommendations using prescription claims data in order to clearly differentiate KPP aggressive clinical program management offerings; Use results to improve overall healthcare outcomes and control drug spend.

 

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience Requirements:

    • Doctorate in Pharmacology, plus current and unrestricted licensure as a Pharmacist in the Ohio
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a practicing Pharmacist with client facing experience.

    Competency:

    • Highly effective communicator with superior listening, understanding, speaking, writing, counseling skills.
    • Proven ability to model high-class customer service resulting in improved customer satisfaction and enduring business relationships with patients, prescribers and pharmacy associates.
    • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of pharmacy operations, and use critical thinking and full understanding of relevant impacts in decision making.
    • Strong team building skills, with the ability to influence and lead, teach, train, counsel and coach to accomplish organizational goals.
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite and demonstrated ability to work effectively within Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

    Salary: $106k-$140k
