Job Description

Position Summary:
Perform functions to manage and support continuous improvement of the Cash Applications operations and
processes across the organization. Focus on successfully meeting the goals of timely and accurate cash
applications and reporting, including handling of Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) and Electronic Funds
Transfer (EFT), and team development, working within the limits of standard or accepted practice.

Essential Functions:
• Oversee cash applications team to monitor and drive key performance metrics. Includes timely and
accurate application of all patient and payor cash, maintain minimal level unapplied cash, drive
minimal rework, and ensure accurate cash reconciliation to bank deposits.
• Closely monitor reports to address all issues and variances timely and methodically. Ensure
activities are performed within the guidelines of established policies and work instructions, and in
accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee timely and accurate enterprise-wide reporting, including daily cash reporting to leadership
team, and setting of monthly cash goals.
• Ensure proper associate support allocated to each site’s cash application activities. Plan for and
address any planned / unplanned absences. Monitor unapplied cash and redeploy associates to
support alternate sites as needed.
• Serve as subject matter expert. Conduct formal and ad hoc training with associates as needed to
ensure consistent processes, in line with established policies and procedures, and work instructions;
cross-train functions and across sites to ensure redundant knowledge and capabilities across all
critical functions.
• Support development and implementation of department policies and procedures as needed; ensure
teammates understand and meet all requirements.
• Evaluate performance and provide direction, mentoring, coaching and cross training to associates.
Identify and provide associates training requirements. Facilitate teammate development and collaborate
with direct reports to create professional development goals.
• Support month-end close process to ensure balanced and accurate cash reconciliation.
• Interview, select, hire, train and assign associates. Develop and communicate performance metrics
to assess the effectiveness of associates, both as a department and individually
• Help identify additional opportunities to improve key performance metrics, and drive increased
efficiency and effectiveness within RCM function. Identify resource needs, tools, policies, metrics,
system changes, process updates, training needs, communication structures, etc.
• Interview, select, hire, train and assign associates. Develop and communicate performance metrics to
assess the effectiveness of associates, both as a department and individually. 

MUST HAVE: 
*Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm/ 9am-6pm
*Strong Cash Applications background: minimum 3 years
*2-3 years of Leadership Experience
*A true leader/Mentor-Team builder
*Must have experience dealing with LARGE postings
*Must have Major Medical EOB understanding
*Must know Denials and Denial Codes

PAY RATE: $65K-$80K/ Salary
