The Total Rewards Manager will support and lead the execution and analysis of Total Rewards (TR) programs. Reporting into the VP of Total Rewards, they will exceptionally deliver programs that support the attraction and retention of our team, focusing on internal equity and external competitiveness.


What You Will Be Doing

Program Execution & Reporting

  • Leads the annual compensation cycles for Canada and the US, including the salary review process, the participation in external surveys and the management of incentive compensation programs. Analyzes, prepares and communicates recommendations to key approvers.
  • Supports the Vice-President in the management and development of Executive Compensation programs, including the preparation of information relating to the disclosure of executive compensation in the proxy.
  • Works closely with the Vice-President and the Chief Human Resources Officer in analyzing and modelling compensation and pay programs.
  • Interacts with senior levels of the Company to provide value-added analysis and administrative management of compensation programs.
  • Assists with the bonus, retirement and recognition programs in North America.
  • Monitor Total Rewards data collection management and reporting.


Policy & Process Governance

  • Ensures the development, implementation, communication and monitoring of corporate Compensation and Total Rewards policies. Recommends changes based on business needs, managing internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Manages the job evaluation process to ensure internal equity and compliance with employment standards.


Communications & Relationships

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with external service providers and consultants and tracks the corresponding budget.
  • Analyze, prepare and communicate recommendations to key approvers.
  • Participates in discussions with senior management regarding initiatives and changes in organizational structures and compensation programs.
  • Provide coaching and direction to business clients and HRBPs on high priority issues, exceptions and escalations.
  • Interacts with senior levels of the Company to provide value-added analysis and administrative management of compensation programs.


What You Need

  • At minimum, have a College diploma (in HR, Finance or business).
  • 5-7 years of professional level progressive experience in the delivery of Total Rewards Programs with a focus in compensations and leading programs independently.
  • Extensive knowledge of Rewards programs and processes.
  • Basic/Intermediate Extensive knowledge of legislative requirements impacting the Rewards function.
  • Experience with data collection and management, measurement, metrics and reporting.

  • Demonstrated judgement with analytical thinking and problem solving to provide recommendations.
  • Detail oriented, organized and able to multitask in a fast paced work environment.
  • Works well independently and collaboratively in a constantly changing environment and within tight time constraints.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and exceptional technical skills in Microsoft Excel.


What Sets You Apart

  • HRIS Knowledge is considered an asset.
  • Have a University degree in HR, Finance or business will be considered an asset.
  • A strong skillset in Microsoft Excel ie. complex formulas and excel functionality.
  • A strong customer service ethic.
