Job Description

We are seeking an experienced APAC Payroll Lead to lead and oversee payroll operations across the Asia-Pacific region. This role requires a deep understanding of APAC payroll legislation, CloudPay expertise, and familiarity with Workday HCM. The APAC Payroll Lead will ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing across multiple countries while continuously improving payroll processes and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end payroll operations for APAC countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local laws.
  • Oversee payroll in CloudPay, ensuring data integrity, configuration, and reporting accuracy.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Benefits teams, as well as external vendors, to address and resolve payroll concerns and escalations.
  • Maintain compliance with local statutory requirements, including tax filings, social security contributions, and local reporting obligations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process standardization across APAC payroll operations.
  • Support payroll audits, internal controls, and SOX compliance as required.
  • Act as a Workday HCM payroll expert for APAC, including testing and validating payroll changes, integrations, and updates.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 5+ years of payroll management experience in the APAC region.
  • Hands-on experience with CloudPay payroll platform.
  • Strong familiarity with Workday HCM and payroll modules.
  • In-depth knowledge of local labor laws, statutory compliance, and taxation.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a regional payroll team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing multi-country payroll operations.
  • Professional certification in payroll (e.g., GPHR) a plus.
