Company Description

Chubb now has an opportunity for a Assistant Risk Manager in Ashford, Middlesex. The main goal of this role is to lead all insurance claims in the territories outside of North America in collaboration with the Legal Department and key stakeholders. They will pursue expeditious and cost-effective claim settlements and support APi Group’s internal risk management functions which will have an immediate impact to company financial results.

Job Description

  • Oversee and manage, in collaboration with the Legal Department, a portfolio of litigated/non-litigated insurance claims across APi insurance program (100-200 claims)
  • Manage, direct and lead Corporate insurance carriers, TPA, Operating Company Leadership, and other parties as needed to drive claim strategy through resolution
  • Support the legal department and operating companies in the investigation of incidents while also interpreting coverage, evaluating liability and contractual obligations
  • Coordinate and lead quarterly and monthly claim reviews with operational company executive leadership, legal department, TPA, insurance carriers and Corporate insurance broker
  • Leadership, in collaboration with Finance & Accounting, of insurance claim reserve analysis to ensure accuracy and drive resolution.
  • Provide recommendation to APi Group Risk Management, Operating Company Leadership and legal department of settlement of all claims within $1M deductible and present decisions to key stakeholders and management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Department, or relevant field
  • Experience in insurance, risk management and/or insurance claim management
  • Experience with management of litigated and non-litigated insurance claims across the world outside of North America with emphasis on EU, UK, Asia and Australia
  • Knowledge and experience with all lines of commercial claims and able to analyze coverage across multiple coverage lines
