Chubb now has an opportunity for a Design Engineer in Blackburn. The main goal of this role is to ensure the system designs are produced to a high quality and within the required budget and timescale. This role is based out of Blackburn, however hybrid working is on offer. 

·       System design of large scale integrated electronic security systems (PIDS, CCTV, EAC, IDS, and audio systems)

·       Design responsibility throughout the project life.

·       Preparation of technical documentation and drawings.

·       Ensure compliance with technical specifications.

·       Specification of equipment.

·       Generation of acceptance test documentation.

·       Review meetings with client.

·       Coordination meetings with external subcontractors within multi-discipline design team.

·       Liaison with suppliers

·       Review drawings before submission.

·       Review equipment schedule outputs e.g. MPS, Activity List, MTO

Ensure adherence to all Company Policies and Procedures

Qualifications/ Experience/Knowledge:

• Minimum of a degree or HND in a suitable discipline.
• Design in engineering environment (Electrical, Control and Instrumentation).
• Relevant technical design experience and the preparation of technical documentation and drawings.
• Minimum five years’ experience in the design of large scale integrated electronic security systems.
• Knowledge of PC and Microsoft Office software (must include Microsoft Word and Excel).
• Full UK driving license.
