Job Description

**Role is based onsite in Orangeburg, NY**

Are you looking for an opportunity to use your aviation expertise to make an impact? Your ability to understand the aviation safety environment translates into being able to provide meaningful improvements.  You will be an integral part of delivering innovative, customer-focused solutions.

This role will be stationed at Chromalloy New York and will initially have responsibility for data collection and analysis at Orangeburg; this will later expand to include Chromalloy Connecticut, Chromalloy Georgia, and Chromalloy Component Services. 

Job Description:

  • Visually inspect OEM and PMA parts, document condition, and upload images with part data to COS database.
  • Collect, document, and analyze reject reasons for PMA and OEM parts at the repair site; create technical report summarizing condition and trends.
  • Provide engineering support as required to PMA/repair sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science, Industrial, Aviation Maintenance Technology, Aircraft Power Plant Engineering preferred) 
  • Flexibility to travel up to 50%  
  • Demonstrated understanding of jet engines and jet engine parts
  • Proven mechanical and manufacturing/repair process knowledge
  • Experience using Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Familiar with statistical analysis
  • Ability to use camera and associated equipment/software to upload photos and analyze data
