Job Description

Position Summary:

In this position the Buyer will provide purchasing support to our Regional Demand Planners and Materials Analysts. This is a hands-on position responsible for ensuring uninterrupted and timely support of product to our Chromalloy Business Units.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Coordinate the purchase, delivery, and receipt of various product
  • Create, manage and expedite purchase orders
  • Obtain Order Confirmations and ensure shipments and deliveries are timely and accurate
  • Receive requisitions (manual and MRP generated); analyze for quantity, specifications, and delivery requirements
  • Consolidate requirements and develop most suitable method of purchase such as spot purchase orders, contracts, blanket or multiple release orders, and supplier stocking or supplier service arrangements
  • Advise management of supplier base activity which could affect pricing and/or delivery
  • Evaluate suppliers through various objective performance measurements, including on-time delivery, service and warranty performance, and price performance

Qualifications

Position requirement, Education, Knowledge and Skills:

 

  • Degree in Aviation, Business or FAA Certification is preferred.
  • 2-5 years Quantum Experience in Inventory and Sales Module
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows/Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
  • Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must exhibit a high-level of energy and of confidence working with customers, suppliers, and Chromalloy Intercompany employees.
  • Able to support customers and suppliers off hours.
