Job Description

About the Senior Accountant Role:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting, and for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This position is responsible for preparation of the financial report, maintenance of the accounting system.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations – ensures site reconciliations are completely monthly and timely.

  • Audit (Internal and External) point of contact – ensures request submission meet auditor expectations

  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year end close.

  • Apply a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.

  • Interface with other department to verify transaction report data and issues
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
  • Capital Requisition Process Owner, maintains reporting, tracking and approval processes
  • Ensure compliance with Company RSM/QCM.  Must be aware of ISO/TCS quality requirements.  Sees that all department employees are aware of quality program.

  • Participate in department cross training activities.                      

  • Oversee and ensure Company compliance with ISO Standard as Management Representative.

  • Enforces safety and Chromalloy policies within the workplace.

  • Adhere to all Company health, safety and environmental policies while performing job duties.

  • Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

If you have a bachelor's in accounting or business management along with 3-5 year of experience in a fast paced, collaborative Accountant role, joining Chromalloy is a great career move.  In addition to your education and experience, as a team player, you will also have the following skills:

  • Excellent computer skills in excel required with solid understanding of GAAP. Epicor and Hyperion experience a plus

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Regular and reliable attendance.

  • Manufacturing experience (strongly preffered)

  • Certified Public Accountant (preffered)

Salary Range: $76,800-$115,200
