Job Description

Summary:  

The Chromalloy Senior Quality Assurance Specialist will work with the Quality Assurance Manager to implement a Quality Assurance program to ensure safe, reliable, on-time, training devices, training programs and airworthy aircraft and engine parts to support Customer requirements. Evaluates inspection and subcontract maintenance actions to ensure safe and reliable aircraft and engine components, and equipment is provided in accordance with current technical publications and FAA directives. Maintains Quality system to ensure compliance with Chromalloy Corporate, FAA, EASA, and the ASA-100 requirements for distribution. Reviews reports and confers with quality control, maintenance, management, training, and technical sales personnel to solve work-related problems. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease cycle time and streamline work processes, and works cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless Customer service.

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Completes quality audits and ensures appropriate corrective action is directed and implemented.

·         Responsible for keeping Customer representatives apprised of on-going and long-term activities, and address any customer corrective action requests.

·         Responsible for the administration of Company policies.

·         Works with the Quality Assurance manager to manage the site quality assurance program to ensure ASA-100 compliance. 

·         Responsible for monthly submittals of data to meet Corporate requirements.

·         Provides technical support to maintenance supervision, employees, and sub-contractors.

·         Attends necessary weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings as required or directed by the General Manager.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

·         Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience in Quality Assurance, Aviation, Business Management or a related discipline

·         3 + years aircraft or engine inspection experience preferred

·         An FAA A&P License is desired for this position

·         Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals.

·         Working knowledge of FAA Regulations, FAA Orders, Advisory Circulars, Airworthiness Directives, and use of FAA required inspection data

·         Ability to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions

·         Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word

·         Ability to work independently

·         Ability to work overtime as required.

·         Ability to work any shift or day of the week as required.
