Job Description

SUMMARY

The Heat Treat Operator will be responsible for Set up, operate, or tend heating equipment, such as heat-treating furnaces, or vacuum equipment to temper, harden, anneal, or heat treat aerospace component parts.

Operates various heat treatment furnaces.  Conducts vacuum and partial pressure heat treatment to alter metallurgical and mechanical properties of castings to achieve various levels of material strength, hardness and/or flexibility per customer requirements and specifications.  

The Essential Functions of the Position are:

  • Reviews specifications and travelers to determine operational methods and equipment setup or heat treating requirements.  
  • Programs load parameters and associated manufacturing requirements.
  • Record operational or production data.
  • Loads and unloads furnaces and associated job tools and parts.
  • Submits required test material needed in processing approval of specific heat treatment cycles.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year experience in Heat Treat (required)

Aerospace manufacturing (preferred)
