Job Description

SUMMARY

Perform the release of Incoming Materials and support for Calibration, and MRB Quality operations.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs job functions accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision based on approved procedures.
  • Reading quality control manual and inspection specifications.
  • Release incoming materials to internal requirements.

·       Communication with team members, vendors and internal customers to resolve issues/obtain quotes.

·       Use of computer systems to access procedures and specifications.

  • Enters data into an asset tracking database.
  • Performing necessary database maintenance and records.
  • Using hand tools and precision measuring and calibrating instruments and equipment including but not limited to mechanical gages-calipers, micrometers and height standards.

·       Collection and control of Scrap castings.

·       Maintains organized inventories in a visually-organized fashion.

  • Maintains department housekeeping standards

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS   To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE                                  

·       High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·       Specific calibration and metrology training as provided in a technical school, junior college or military curriculum, a plus.

·       NDT Inspection certificate, a plus.

 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS                                

·       Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

·       Ability to write routine correspondence. 

·       Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

·       Bilingual desired, but not required

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

·       Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

·       Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

 

REASONING ABILITY

·       Ability to define problems, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs.

·       Knowledge of GagePack or other calibration software desired, but not required
