Job Description

Summary:

This Demand Planning position is responsible for all planning activities associated with Chromalloy inventory and acquisitions and sales. This position works closely and is the liaison between the operating units and Central Surplus Purchasing. The Demand Planner creates and maintains forecast models for their region, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, operations, and the Strategic Business Units, as well as other sources (i.e.: Aftermarket suppliers and industry Intel).  The Demand Planner is the integration point into the operational units and sales organization. Forecast modeling is the responsibility of this position. This position leads the dialogue each month for their respective regions and products.

Responsibilities:

·         Works directly with Chromalloy units located within the assigned region to forecast and plan inventory requirements. Works direct with CP Inventory Analysts and planners to determine annual material requirements to be procured each month and Quarter.

·         Sources inventory on a JIT basis to ensure daily requirements are maintained.

·         Works with CP buyers to allocate material requirements.

·         Works with aftermarket suppliers to establish consignments in support of Chromalloy repair divisions.

·         Work closely with quality and sales personnel to ensure industry requirements are being met whether through required documentation or sales values of inventory.

·         Provides input to management regarding problems such as shortages.

·         Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

Qualifications

·         Five years of experience sourcing and determining market values of aircraft and engine inventory.

·         Three years of experience planning or scheduling inventory and materials necessary to support operations.

·         Extensive experience in all aspects market sourcing and inventory procurement.

·         Able to use existing tools and contacts to forecast inventory requirements.

·         Strong understanding of market dynamics.
