Job Description

The Regional IT Manager is an ideal opportunity for someone who is motivated by an opportunity to participate in an organization’s regionalization approach to systems, infrastructure and end user support.

 We are looking for an individual who has the technical skills and intellectual capability to lead through this change and has the drive and desire to grow with a business. Critical for success is the ability to oversee the support of multiple site teams, systems, infrastructure and end user support.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Assist the Director of Infrastructure in developing strategic and tactical plans for regional support and delivery.
  • Create, lead and develop a world-class regional support team. Mentor and coach staff by identifying individual strengths and areas for development and implementing plans to ensure their continual growth.
  • Manage vendor relationships and service levels as required in a professional manner that supports Chromalloy’s business interests and reputation. Participate in negotiations regionally with vendors and strategic technology partners.
  • Implement, educate and ensure compliance to IT Management Processes and Quality programs.
  • Manage budgets, capacity planning, system monitoring, support and end user support processes.
  • Identify operational issues impacting service levels and streamline IT processes to provide real-time visibility into regional support and services delivery performance.
  • Establish relationships with key business leaders and be the face of IT regionally.  This role will be the primary point of contact for regional and unit based leaders.

Challenges:

  • The successful candidate will need to establish trust and credibility with operating units and a disbursed set of IT resources.
  • Driving the acceptance and adoption of technology changes into operating units will require a measured, win-win approach.
  • This position will need to build strong relationships throughout the organization, often at a distance.  These relationships will be critical for marshaling and motivating resources without direct reporting relationships.

Position can be located in San Antonio, TX, Phoenix, AZ, San Diego, CA or Carson City, NV.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manager role supporting unit based applications in a similar operating environment; complexity, size and scope.
  • Demonstrated success with unit based application planning and development, project management and policy development.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, project management, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of product life cycle, tools, processes and operations planning.
  • Excellent customer service capabilities and attitude.
  • Must be able to travel as needed, sometimes as much as 25%.
