Job Description

The Production Manager is a key member of Chromalloy’s Site Leadership Team (SLT) and will work closely with the Site Leader to lead and direct the day-to-day operations of the Connecticut operations.

Following are specific responsibilities:

 

·       Working closely with the Site Leader to lead the operations in achieving the overall operational goals and objectives of the business to include safety, quality, on-time delivery, production output, cost, engineering and other specific key stakeholder objectives.

·       Supervising Manufacturing operations and be responsible for production and P&L performance.

·       Promoting operational excellence through the utilization of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

·       Communicating with internal and external customers to understand delivery requirements and set production and shipping schedules to meet these requirements.

·       Leading the operation in determining manpower and equipment requirements.

·       Identifying capital projects and preparing capital justification requests.

·       Actively supporting business development to increase revenue, win new business from existing customers, and win new customers.

·       Ensuring compliance with customer/FAA requirements and company policies and procedures.

·       Using Management Operating System tools to monitor productivity, quality and cost-effective work. 

·       Leading, coaching and developing staff to ensure that Chromalloy Component Services has the necessary talent to meet the demands of the business today as well as growing talent to meet the exciting growth challenges of the future.

Qualifications

·       8+ years of experience managing customer focused manufacturing operations to include a strong technical background in industrial manufacturing operations.  

·       Proven track record successfully managing operations to achieve bottom line profitability through sustainable operational excellence to include lean manufacturing, process management, systems maximization and the development of a strong team.

·       Able to effectively build and manage relationships in an industry where competition is strong, and results are achieved through operational and quality excellence. 

·       Experience managing a business from the top to the bottom lines is required.

·       Experience in operations, systems management, quality, customer service, financial management, people management and development. 

·       Experience leading, and building highly effective, results oriented, cross-functional teams.

·       Prior Aerospace, MRO and FAA experience is an asset.

·       Demonstrated hands-on engagement with team members at all levels of the organization is an asset.

 

EDUCATION

·       Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical field.
