Job Description

Summary

This position is responsible for Large Capital Facility expansions, implementation of effective PM programs to maximize uptime on production equipment, manages the implementation of Lean, 6S, and Kaizen activities. Directs Maintenance personnel in the upkeep, PM, and repair of equipment. Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through associate team members.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

·Coordinates projects including all aspects associated with “coming in on time and under budget”.

·Develops and manages Microsoft project time lines in detail to ensure optimum efficiency of projects. Ensures that all items required are identified and tracked.

·Works with contractors, engineering firms, internal personnel under the direction of the VP Operations to ensure procedures and execution for accomplishing project including; staffing requirements, identification and avoidance of conflicting tasks.

·Works with equipment manufactures, contractors, riggers, freight agencies, etc. to obtain critical details required to complete projects ensuring minimal interruption to normal production operations.

·Coordinates all groups identified above and other groups in the execution of projects.

·Obtains detailed quotes on equipment required for projects or other facility related expenditures.

·Presents intelligent options to management for consideration with recommendations including pro’s and con’s of alternatives.

·Confers with staff to outline work plans and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.

·Directs and coordinates activities of personnel to ensure progress is scheduled and within prescribed budget. Has excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills.

·Prepares and reviews status reports and modifies schedules or plans as required.

·Prepares reports for management, client, or others.

·Confers with required personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.

·Coordinates activities with government regulatory or other governmental agencies as required including permit applications or overseeing this process.

·Identifies opportunities and cost saving potential.

·Tracks and reports equipment uptime while identifying recurring problems and implementing solutions that prevent the recurrence.

·Responsible for implementation of Lean, 6S, and Kaizen activities throughout the organization to maximize profit and reduce cycle times.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

As required, may directly supervise 2 to 10 employees both hourly and/or salaried. Carries out supervisory / Managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
