This role is responsible for the development of complex Business Intelligence solutions (reports, dashboards, scorecards) using Microsoft Business Intelligence technology stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) and Power-BI.  Develop proof of concepts, dashboards and complex reports. Create database tables, stored procedures & triggers, and prepare deployable for DEV/QA/BETA & PROD environments.  Participate in design reviews and perform code reviews. Document all developed code and perform testing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/TASKS:

• Develop and improve solutions spanning data processing activities from the staging to star schemas and reporting view’s / tables and finally into SSAS.
• Create and Modify SSIS packages. Create an ETL design and implementation checks in SSIS packages
• Create data load mappings, import/export methods, Incremental /Full load data from Source systems to various targets.
• Power BI and Analysis Services reporting models development and administration.
• Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop and SSRS.
• Connecting to various legacy data sources, importing data and transforming data for Business Intelligence.
•  Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
• Able to implement row level security on data and understand application security layer models in Power BI.
• Proficient in making DAX queries in Power BI desktop.
• Expertise in writing advanced level calculations on the data set.
• Responsible for design methodology and project documentation.
• Develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehousing standards.
• Adept in developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports as per the business requirements.
• Able to properly understand the business requirements and develop data models accordingly.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program in computer science, information technology, or other related field or equivalent experience required.

• Experience of 5+ years in data preparation, data gateway and data warehousing projects. 

• 5+ years developing BI reports/dashboards using Microsoft BI/SQL Server technology stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS) with data from ERP systems.  Experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) using Microsoft Integration Services / SSIS

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/PROFICIENCIES:

• 5+ years of experience as a BI Developer.
• 5+ years of experience with data warehousing projects. Experience across many legacy systems is a plus.
• Experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) using Microsoft Integration Services / SSIS
• Background in data warehouse design (e.g. dimensional modeling) and data mining
• Working knowledge and experiences in SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and SQL Server development tools.
• Working knowledge and experiences in data design / dimensional data modeling.
• Advanced level in SQL and DAX languages.
• Ability to analyze raw data and enhance, craft and distill that data into informative dashboards.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
• Possess proficient analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills including teamwork, facilitation, communication, and the ability to influence.
