Job Description

Summary: The position primary responsibilities will be to perform material Inspection within the Quality-Shipping department, ship, receive, and deliver supplies, materials and equipment. As well as maintaining inventory control and records.

Primary Tasks:

  • Perform material inspection following specification,
  • To ship, receive, and deliver supplies, materials and equipment, maintain inventory control and records.
  • This position involves lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • Performs system and/or manual tasks to support inbound and outbound operations.
  • Perform tasks in various functional areas such as customer order picking, packing, stocking, quality control, loading, and unloading freight.
  • Prepares outbound shipments by sorting product onto fixed sorting rails.
  • Enter data into a Quantum (ERP System) and other computer programs.
  • Record and report any damaged products/merchandise to the designated supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and report all maintenance or safety issues requiring corrective action.
  • Create Airway Bills and ensure courier pickups are scheduled.
  • Ensure all orders are packaged according to ATA Spec 300 regulations.
  • Participate in all scheduled physical inventories.
  • FAA Regulation as it relates to Parts Distributors.

Shipping and receiving.

Typical duties: receives and unloads freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; checks for damaged goods; verifies quantity and quality of order; verifies items received with purchase order; wraps, packages, and ships supplies; delivers and retrieves supplies to and from work or storage areas; tags and issues supplies; stocks shelves and rotates inventory; may receive, store, may assemble and move furniture; may maintain equipment and vehicles.

Inventory maintenance and clerical.

Typical duties: participates in physical inventories of warehouse and/or supply yard; maintains inventory records by adding or deleting supplies as they are shipped or received; operates a personal computer to access, enter, and correct information; answers phones and provides information using customer service skills; may provide advice regarding supplies or property including price and availability; may prepare damage claims for supervisor's review and signature; may coordinate disposal of surplus property and manage records retention.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred experience: handling, storing, and shipping materials or supplies; operating material handling equipment; accessing information on a computer; reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.

Willingness to be trained on the operation of power and/or hand tools; forklifts and other packing equipment.

Required to have a valid Driver's License.
