Job Description

This position supports Operating Unit management planning and decision making by identifying, maintaining, and evaluating Financial and Operational information; recommending actions.  The position reports to the Senior Site Financial Manager and dotted line to the Site General Manager.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Day to day involvement and interaction with the local manufacturing team as well as the finance team
  • Perform variance analysis in terms of sales, income and cash flow versus plan, prior year or prior forecasts by business unit, product and\or customer
  • Perform budgeting and forecasting in terms of sales, income and cash flow by business unit, product or customer
  • Lead the site annual budgeting process from start to finish
  • Site Finance SiOP champion, capacity and demand.
  • Provide guidance and direction to the local accounting team
  • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.  Site lead for product rationalization, decision support and ad hoc requests.
  • Provide trends and forecasts to the Site Leadership and support regional finance analyses.
  • Identify financial status of the site by comparing and analyzing actual results with budgets, plans and forecasts.
  • Increase finance productivity by developing automated accounting applications; coordinating information requirements for the local site.
  • Support Strategic Long-Range Plan development
  • Provide financial support of New Product development programs with analysis and reviews
  • Provide support to various Chromalloy Joint Ventures through budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Work with Regional controller to ensure end of month, quarter and yearly reporting is timely and accurate.
  • Participate in developing monthly management reviews, benchmarking studies, and various management presentations.
  • Perform ad hoc business case analysis, including creation of financial models and analysis of business trends to support the growth and profitability of the business.
  • Define financial situations by completing quantitative analyses.
  • Evaluate optional plans by identifying outcomes and potential returns.
  • Value assets by appraising current condition; assessing potential. Cap Ex, payback, NPV, IRR and value add modeling.
  • Build financial database by identifying sources of information; assembling, verifying, and backing up with data.  Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data as needed.
  • Recommend financial actions by assessing options in relation to organization goals for both forecasting and budgeting.
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, formatting, analyzing, and explaining information.  Responsible for site management reporting, MOS, scorecards and PBR.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing or exceeding results as needed.
  • Ensure alignment in forecasting with all relevant Chromalloy Operating Units.
  • Support internal and external audit requests as required
  • Participation in Chromalloy Performance Excellence (CPEX), and Chromalloy Financial Excellence (CFIN) projects
  • Manage and support the month-end close process including but not limited to variance review, JE creation and reporting
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Education:        

  • BA or BS required in Finance, Accounting, Economics
  • CMA, CPA or MBA preferred

 

Experience:      

  • 5+ years of related experience;
  • 2 years minimum in a manufacturing environment

 Skills:              

  • Experience working with and extracting data from ERP systems
  • Demonstrated financial analysis and modeling expertise (NPV, IRR, etc); highest standards of accuracy and precision.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and the ability and experience to apply this knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team environment, and to proactively develop solutions with minimal guidance; an individual who is able to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated.
  • Extensive computer experience using MS Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office products.
  • Complex Excel and Access functions, experience with SQL is a plus.
  • Consolidation software experience with Hyperion, HFM, and Hyperion Planning preferred. 
  • A relentless and versatile learner who is open to change and enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of both financial and operational processes.
