Job Description

As our Director, Global Compensation, you will be that experienced compensation professional who thrives in working in a highly matrixed environment and has the ability to participate in determining innovative and scalable solutions that can impact global programs. In this role, you will implement global compensation policies and strategies by providing consultative input to develop the compensation strategy in alignment with and in support of the business goals and objectives. You will also provide insights to assess the effectiveness and quality of compensation plans and programs, oversee generation of reports, data analysis and ensure summaries represent results as needed. The Director, Global Compensation will plan and administer all global compensation programs, procedures, and practices to ensure consistency with the organization's overall objectives and compliance with professional standards and follows all state, federal and international regulatory requirements, and laws.

Essential Functions of this Position:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the compensation department’s programs, job evaluation, performance appraisal, salary administration, benchmark, and incentive programs
  • Plans and administer all compensation programs, procedures, and practices to ensure consistency with organization's overall objectives and compliance with professional standards, and follow national and other applicable laws
  •  Design and administer incentive plans
  • Create and maintain current salary structures for the company, including geographic differentials
  •  Complete job evaluations and create formal job descriptions for all titles in the company
  • Create and maintain position description library/playbook for Human Resources to use as a tool
  • Conduct audits of base salary issues related to external market, internal equity, and salary guideline compliance
  • Design and administer performance/merit management system
  • Establish and maintain merit and bonus policies and guidelines
  • Serves as the gatekeeper for out of cycle pay increases and adjustments, and annual merit increase process
  • Participate in market survey and analyze results to obtain appropriate market pricing
  • Responsible for assisting with compensation benchmarking, through the participation in relevant surveying outputs and making area expertise recommendations
  • Design, develop and implement engaging PowerPoint presentations, which will be used to educate, inform, and influence teams in compensation decisions 
  • Support, design and implement strategy design for compensation programs
  • Responsible for the development and devising of global, regional, and/or local compensation standards
  • Assist with global compliance by ensuring local statutory requirements related to employee compensation are adhered to
  • Manage ad hoc compensation analyses and processes
  • Manage Expat Program including communication, creating letters, adhering to compliance
  • Contribute in compensation and cross-functional HR projects as needed

 

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with base compensation and incentive analysis, administration and design experience
  • CCP preferred
  • Experience developing, implementing and administering a performance management system
  • Knowledge of ADP systems (EV5 a plus) preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a dynamic office environment, including ability to handle multiple and changing priorities, crisis situations and urgent requests
  • Proven ability to be detail oriented and analytical
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently and develop realistic action plans
  • Demonstrated skill in handling sensitive and confidential matters
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft office products which include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
