Job Description

Shipping and Receiving Duties:

  • Verify information on forms and paperwork of incoming and/or outgoing shipments.
  • Compares identifying information, counts, weights, and/or measures of items in incoming and/or outgoing shipments to packing list.
  • Conduct periodic inventory audits.
  • Monitor pre-established inventory levels to determine ordering needs.
  • Pull kits for assembly, fill shortages, and store incoming product in a timely manner.
  • Determines method and mode of shipment to customer or supplier requirements.
  • Determines labeling requirements.
  • Assembles and packs product containers, prepares and affixes shipping labels on cartons identifying information for cartons, skid or other storage devices in an accurate manner.
  • Prepares all shipping documents in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Data entry of inventory transactions.
  • Troubleshoot and research discrepancies.
  • Maintain hard copy and/or electronic filing systems.
  • Keep incoming and/or outgoing product flowing; to include the physical movement of inventory.
  • Written or verbal communication with internal or external customers or suppliers as needed.
  • Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment.
  • General department housekeeping.
  • Maintain production standards/quality.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Support and implementation of 5s standards.
  • Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.
  • Ensures compliance with Company IPM/QPM and ISO quality requirements.
  • Performing other tasks in the facility as needed.

Qualifications

  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Knowledge of various practices and procedures in shipping and receiving.
  • Knowledge of export compliance regulations.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Problem solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability.
  • Lean skills continually drives process improvements.
  • Team building skills.
  • Must be fluent in English, i.e. speaking, reading, and writing.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum five (5) years job related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Aerospace industry experience a plus.
