Job Description

Supports management planning and decision making by identifying, maintaining, and evaluating information; recommending actions.  The position reports to the Director Finance, Planning and Analysis.

This position requires day to day involvement with our Global Sales, Manufacturing and Operations organization as well as the Finance team.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  The duties and responsibilities regularly performed for this position are:

  •  Guide financial analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
  •    Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.  Also, could be asked to complete product rationalization, decision support and ad hoc requests.
  • OEM and Military Finance SiOP champion, capacity and demand.
  •   Define financial situations by completing quantitative analyses. 
  •   Evaluate optional plans by identifying outcomes and potential returns.
  • Value assets by appraising current condition; assessing potential.  Cap Ex, payback, NPV, IRR and value add modeling.
  •   Build financial database by identifying sources of information; assembling, verifying, and backing up data.  Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data as needed.
  •   Recommend financial actions by assessing options in relation to organization goals for both forecasting and budgeting.
  • Prepare financial reports by collecting, formatting, analyzing, and explaining information.  Responsible for management reporting, MOS, scorecards and PBR.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing or exceeding results as needed.
  • Monthly, quarterly and yearly closing requirements.
  •    Special Projects, as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance , business administration
  • Eight (8) years accounting /finance experience in a manufacturing environment to include the development of strategic and tactical financial plans.
  • MBA preferred
