The primary responsibility of the male High School Students Pastor is the leadership and development of student coaches on the Peoria Campus. The secondary responsibility is to lead students. This will be done by communicating with students on a consistent basis, identifying and developing relationships with influential students, partnering with local schools, and managing programs/events. The main Goal of the Student Pastor is to Create Christ Centered Difference Makers.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions

  • High School Team Expectations
    • Carry out the vision of CCV Student Ministry
    • Partner with the PEO Students team to execute ministry together
    • Provide feedback for the High School experience in Peoria
    • Building set-up (Clean, Clear, Comfortable)
    • Lead Coach meetings
    • Guest Services oversight
    • Onboard new Volunteers with excellence
    • Participate in High School event planning and camp execution
    • Open to growing as an on-stage communicator
  • Leadership of Volunteers Serving in High School
    • Recruit, train, and retain lead coaches
    • Recruit, train, and retain student coaches
    • Build camaraderie between a group of coaches
  • Pastoral Expectations
    • Pastor high school students and Coaches
    • Follow up with first time students and utilize coaches to close the gap from first time visitor to regular attender
    • Mentor influential High School students to become Christ Centered Difference Makers
    • Partner with parents to help with concerns and student issues
    • Build relationships with local High Schools and organizations such as FCA and CCV Stars to broaden the reach of the Peoria High School Ministry
    • Create opportunities for our students, coaches, and parents to serve the schools and neighborhoods in our community
    • Recruit, train, and release teams to impact schools and neighborhoods
    • Be involved in High School Student Mission Trips – Planning, organizing, and attending.
    • Support Junior High Services when needed and on team weekends
  • Peoria Team
    • Be a champion of the Peoria Campus team at large
    • Support Peoria Campus events
    • Serve in other departments to create camaraderie and teamwork

Education and Experience 

  • 2 years minimum experience leading a ministry of youth and volunteers 

  • Degree in Youth Ministry preferred, however training or proven experience in the field will be considered 

  • Software and technology skills is a bonus
