The Student Worship Leader exists to lead and develop a high quality and authentic worship experience for their designated campus, create and embrace innovation in partnership with the Lead Student Worship Pastor, and invest in their culture by recruiting, training, and maintaining volunteers.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead Worship for student services (JH + HS) at designated campus
  • Recruit, Develop, and Maintain volunteer musicians
  • Schedule and communicate with volunteer musicians 
  • Learn and execute selected music at a high level of excellence
  • Maintain availability to Campus Team 1 day a week on designated campus
  • Maintain availability for weekly 1:1’s with their direct report as needed
  • Work with their campus’ Student Pastor, as well as other ministry staff to carry out the CCV Students vision as it pertains to the worship experience
  • Make Junior High and High School Camp/Events a priority by attending and engaging as needed 
  • Contribute creatively to CCV Music culture as needed
  • Participate in Music Team meetings (PEO campus) during the week as needed
  • Attend All Staff meetings for leadership development and team building 1/mo.

Education & Experience

  • Strong vocal ability
  • Proficient in guitar or keyboard
  • High engagement level on and off stage with staff and students
  • 2-3 years experience leading worship and leading a team of musicians
  • Strong understanding of music styles and instrumentation
  • Proficiencies in Ableton Live software
  • Ability to recruit, lead, and develop music volunteers
