Company Description

The purpose of the Operations Department is to enhance CCV’s ability to be a destination point for the unchurched, promote fellowship for attendees, to support the staff in growing their ministries in the aspects of making people feel comfortable on our campus, as well as to create a great and lasting first impression for first-time visitors and attendees alike. The Operations Pastor will have multiple roles including taking care of the campus operationally, overseeing the coffee shop & bookstore, as well as overseeing the First Impressions Ministry. This will include using the efforts of volunteers strategically placed through the campus as well as follow up on first-time visitors to foster the experience of people who are seeking a relationship with Christ and remove obstacles for them to move forward in their faith. 

Job Description

 Essential Job Functions 

  • Go through OPS training set up through the Facilities team. 
  • Recruit, consistently train, and oversee volunteers & coverage for each area 
  • Facility Operations 
  • Maintain the use of the campus ensuring the proper doors and access points are open and closed before and after scheduled events, including restrooms. 
  • Use the facility schedule to adequately execute room set ups for events including tables and chair configurations, tables skirting, and special needs weekly. 
  • Inspect rooms and buildings prior to events and make sure all needs are met including temperature settings, doors and access, room configurations, and last-minute needs and details. 
  • Develop a formalized cleaning plan for each area of the facilities to support three approaches to cleaning:  A quick pass-by before or during events, after-event cleaning, and scheduling routine deep cleans. 
  • Trash management and removal for services and special events. 
  • Have regular check-ins with supervisor to go over goals/initiatives for operations on campus. 
  • Operate, clean, and maintain equipment according to CCV operating procedures; train and oversee volunteers to keep with those standards   
  • Maintain the appearance of the area and its cleanliness 
  • Meet with and gain professional relationships with all vendors in use on campus.  
  • Manage all processes of inventory including product selection, ordering, receiving, storing, and displaying merchandise. 
  • Organize all product line displays including books, bibles, cards, apparel, music, gifts, and resource materials. 
  • Manage the POS systems and handle money according to CCV procedures.

Experience & Work Environment 

  • Minimum 2-year facility oversight experience 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in food service and/or hospitality 
  • Experience successfully managing/leading a staff 
  • Proven ability to recruit, train, develop and retain volunteers 
  • Proven ability to discern positive and negative behaviors within volunteer team 
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends 
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
