The purpose of the Hospitality Department is to enhance CCV’s ability to be a destination point for the unchurched, promote fellowship for attendees, and to support the staff in growing their ministries in the aspects of making people feel comfortable while on our campus. The purpose of this position is to facilitate the campus event needs and housekeeping functions within the Ministry Support Department of CCV.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions

  • Volunteer Recruitment: Volunteers are an essential to this ministry as paid positions will remain at low levels. Utilizing volunteers to support events as well as off-event times to support the church is a must!
  • Types of Cleaning: Organize each building to support three approaches to cleaning: a quick pass-by for or during events, after-event cleaning, and scheduling routine deep cleans. Cleaning includes routine and spot vacuuming, tables and chair cleaning, door and wood polishing, glass cleaning, cob-web removal, and food and drink spills. Restroom cleaning includes commode, urinal, and sink disinfecting and routine cleaning, mirrors, mopping floors, and wiping down counters.  
  • Trash Management: Empty all trash containers throughout campus, utilizing a uniform procedure to ensure that no waste hits the floor, keeping all flooring clean and unstained.  Housekeeping will support for large events trash removal. 
  • Staff/Volunteer Training: Train volunteer housekeepers in all aspects of cleaning techniques and develop a formalized cleaning plan for each room/area of the facilities.
  • Customer Service:  Incorporate with all staff and volunteers a customer service-oriented approach when dealing with church staff, volunteers, and participants of CCV.

Education & Experience

  • Previous housekeeping experience is a plus
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and nights 
  • Day shift and night shift schedules available
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lb.
