The mission of Christ’s Church of the Valley is to WIN people to Christ, TRAIN believers to become disciples, and SEND disciples to impact the world. The CCV Leadership Institute Residency Program is designed to equip ministry leaders with the skills and experience they need for maximum impact. Through a combination of role readiness training, practical experience, and career coaching, graduates will be prepared to be leaders in the local church.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions

  • Classroom Participant
    • Attends all Residency sponsored curriculum training and coaching events. 
    • Meets with Resident director on a regular basis and stays accountable to the integrity of the program and CCV 
    • Follows the direction of their assigned Staff Trainer 
    • Takes initiative to cross train in other areas of ministry 
  • Role Specific Responsibilities
    • Completes the requirements of the specific ministry track they have chosen.  
  • Leads Volunteers
    • Schedules, trains & coaches CCV Volunteers in their area of ministry 
    • Appropriately available for mentoring/pastoral needs of volunteers 

Resident Requirements/Details

  • One year program
  • Full-time role
  • $24,000 stipend
  • Weekend service commitments
  • Class time attendance
  • Weekly 1:1’s with trainer
  • Monthly evaluations from trainer
  • Must be willing to sign the CCV Leadership Commitment form

Character & Chemistry

  • A passion for reaching the lost
  • Personal integrity in all areas of life
  • Attends worship services with their family on a consistent basis
  • Active participant in a neighborhood group
  • Regular tither

Competency

  • Teachable – Is open to feedback and willing to learn new things about themselves and their skills.
  • Customer Focus – Dedicated to exceeding the expectations of internal and external customers.
  • Interpersonal Skills – Relates well to all kinds of people and builds effective relationships; communicates effectively whether in person, on the phone, or via email.
  • Drive for Results – Steadfastly pushes self and others for results.  Is action-oriented and displays focus, passion & initiative.  Takes appropriate action when something needs to be done.
  • Self-Development – Committed to improvement, seeks constructive criticism, understands strengths and weaknesses.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Age 21+
  • Customer service experience is a plus
  • Ministry and/or volunteer experience in ministry is helpful
