Job Description
Position Summary
As our QMAP, you'll be the guardian of our residents' daily care needs, aligning with our company's awesome mission and values. You'll be the expert of care needs, anticipating and reporting them like a pro. Plus, you'll be the medication maestro, ensuring our residents get the right meds at the right time, every time!
Essential Duties (aka Your Daily Adventures)
- Be the resident's personal care champion! Swoop in to assist with ADLs faster than a speeding bullet.
- Transform into the ultimate grooming guru, helping residents look and feel their best from head to toe.
- Channel your inner psychic to anticipate resident needs. Spotted a broken pair of glasses? You're on it!
- Be the family whisperer, responding to their needs with the charm of a diplomat.
- Keep the communication lines buzzing like a beehive with your supervisor and peers.
- Don your superhero cape as the guardian of resident safety and well-being.
- Be the voice for those who can't speak up - report any suspicion of abuse or neglect like the hero you are.
- Play detective and report any changes in resident status. No detail is too small for your eagle eyes!
- Channel your inner journalist, documenting resident conditions with Pulitzer-worthy precision.
- Become the medication fairy, sprinkling the right doses at the right times (all within state law, of course).
- Be the Bat-signal for the Wellness Coordinator when medication questions arise.
- Transform into a documentation ninja, leaving no refusal or treatment unrecorded.
- Embrace your inner organizer, restocking supplies like a pro shopper on Black Friday.
- Don your handyman hat and report necessary repairs faster than you can say "work order".
- Be the life of the party at monthly staff meetings, contributing ideas like a brainstorming champion.
- Be ready to tackle any other duties that come your way - variety is the spice of life!
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications & Experience
- Per the state of operation requirements, Medication certification; QMAP-A/L, Med Tech, Med Aide, Nurse Delegation
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
- High school or Equivalent (GED)
- One (1) year experience in some level of elder care preferred
- Proficient computer skills preferred
- Strong self-management and organization skills
- Strong multi-tasking abilities with the ability to handle competing deadlines, flexible and adaptable (open to change).
- Ability to effectively handle difficult and sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
- Moderate physical activity required by handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
- Constant standing, walking, and grasping. Frequent stooping and reaching above shoulder heights, occasional sitting, crawling, kneeling, and squatting.
- May have exposure to blood borne pathogens, body excretions and communicable diseases possible.
- Possible exposure to household chemicals.
- Sits, stands, bends and moves intermittently during working hours.
- May be subject to frequent interruptions.
- Interacts with clients, family members and visitors frequently.
