Job Description
Are you ready to make a real impact in an assisted living community? As our Concierge, you’ll be the heart of the community, bringing energy, warmth, and efficiency to everything you do. From guiding residents to managing calls to handling various tasks with ease, you’ll play a key role in ensuring everyone feels cared for and valued.
Key Responsibilities
- Multitask like a pro: Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and direct visitors with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
- Resident Guide: Help residents and visitors navigate the building, always offering a warm smile and friendly direction.
- Mail Master: Sort and distribute mail swiftly and accurately.
- Admin Support: Manage typing tasks and assist in planning community events, making sure everything runs smoothly.
- Knowledge Keeper: Distribute marketing materials and provide information about our community to potential residents and their families.
- Emergency Response: Be ready to assist with the Emergency Call System, ensuring residents’ needs are met promptly.
- Safety First: Conduct regular Stat Checks to maintain a safe environment.
- Building Maintenance: Assist with work orders and ensure all areas of the community are in tip-top shape.
- Spreading Kindness: Ensure residents, guests, and staff feel valued, creating a positive atmosphere.
- Flexibility: Step up when needed, providing support in the absence of the Resident Services Director, and handling emergencies with professionalism and calm.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of multi-extension, multi-line telephone system is required.
- Prior concierge or hospitality experience strongly preferred.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, exceptional communication skills.
- Good organizational skills, follow-up and follow through; must be able to multitask.
- Minimum one-year experience in a business office environment. Strong clerical skills to include knowledge of computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
- Must possess strong communication and excellent customer service skills.
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
- Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
- Sits, stands, bends and moves intermittently during working hours.
- Is subject to frequent interruptions.
- Interacts with residents, family members, visitors frequently.
